From the other side

Premiere 13.09.2021, LOFFT - DAS THEATER

Four dancers and one musician express their discomfort with the existing order of the world and look at things from a different angle. Inspired by Cortázar's novel "Hopscotch", young artists from Germany, Spain and the Netherlands create a third reality on stage - a fusion of reality and dream. Through a contrasting and abrupt language of movement, Rayuela's aesthetics and texture are translated into dance on stage. The piece is characterized by intense imagery, surrealistic actions, and utopian encounters.I

"From the other Side" is based on the non-linear structure of the novel, suggesting an irregular reading order of the chapters. The audience is significantly involved in the course of events, making each evening unique
