In their latest production, the company of the Leipziger Tanztheater, under the artistic direction of choreographer Vasiliki Bara, explores the emotional quality of lust. Lust is the desire for that, which gives pleasure and describes an intense way of experiencing. Apart from the perception of lust as a strong sexual desire, the piece deals with questions and thoughts regarding the expression of lust in everyday life. Which parts of the body do we use to feel pleasure? What do we lust for? How does it feel not to be able to live out our own lust?

Within the dance studio, the lust for movement unites choreographer and dancers, propelling them into the creative depths of piece development. Drawing inspiration from the grotesque, the piece weaves together a tapestry of creaturely forms, peculiar movements and an electric atmosphere.
